Certified ServSafe Training

The ServSafe Manager Training offers individuals an opportunity to learn about food safety and regulatory compliance. State regulations require at least ONE certified individual to be present at your facility throughout the operating day.

VII Principles is here to support you with achieving this goal! Our primary focus is to establish a relationship with your executive staff through heightened food safety awareness. Certification is not only a necessity, but the advantages of earning this certification will help you realize the importance of food safety practices.   • Good Personal Hygiene
  • Receiving & Storing Food
  • Time and Temperature Control
  • Methods of Thawing, Cooking, Cooling & Reheating
  • Preventing Cross-Contamination
  • HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points)
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing
  • Food Safety Regulations

Exam Details

The day begins at 8:00am and includes an 8-hour training session, ServSafe Manager Manual, proctor and exam administration, lunch and submission of your Food Safety Certificate Application to the Philadelphia Department of Health (if applicable).

In Philadelphia we generally hold one to two classes per month. In our Mount Laurel office, classes are held on the first Tuesday and last Thursday of every month. We can also travel to your facility for a private class if there will be 8 or more participants.

Register for the course a minimum of (2) weeks prior to examination date. Once you register and arrange payment, we will deliver a manual to the location of your choice. Upon receipt begin preparing for the examination, study the manual at least 1 hour/day. IT IS STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO REVIEW YOUR BOOK BEFORE ATTENDING THE COURSE! Please be aware the examination will occur immediately after the training session.
